New polyimide composites with various thermoset polymers and organic clay – montmorrilonite lets regulate polymer film morphology and its physico-mechanical performances. The materials serve as matrix for metal deposition for the development of both integral and discreet (chip-like) metallized polyimide composites. The developed materials are electrically conductive (surface resistivity is less 1 Ohm), heat-conductive, and reflective (silvered films are 92-95% of mirror reflectivity). The films could be of use as reflectors, antennas, flexible mirrors, ultrathin condensers, lab-on-chip devices or microactivator.

Making use of novel principles of micro- and nanoformations of several polymers the Lab is on the development of new therapeutic systems with drug controlled release for hormone chrono- and pulsotherapy, as well as targeted deposition of micro- and nanoparticles into the affected organs.

Lab-on-chip- and microactivator-using controlled release of therapeutics on the base of the so-called smart-polymers.
